Catherine Charles Zacharia is a Tanzanian legal professional and Advocate of the High Court and Court of Appeal with over a decade of experience in corporate law, governance, and regulatory compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Tumaini University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Mzumbe University. Her strong academic foundation is complemented by her admission to the bar and active membership in professional bodies such as the Tanganyika Law Society, East Africa Law Society, and International Bar Association.

She currently serves as Company Secretary at Junaco (T) Limited, where she oversees legal and corporate governance functions across multiple affiliated entities. In this role, she provides strategic legal advice to boards and shareholders, manages statutory compliance, and ensures adherence to corporate governance standards. Her responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, managing company secretarial duties, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and handling regulatory engagements with authorities. She also plays a key role in structuring joint ventures, conducting due diligence, and advising management on legal risks associated with business operations and expansion.

Prior to her current role, Catherine worked as a Legal Officer at CRB Africa Legal, where she gained extensive experience in litigation, contract drafting, and corporate advisory. She has represented clients in civil, criminal, and labour matters, successfully managing disputes both in court and through settlements. Her skill set includes strong analytical and communication abilities, legal research, and policy drafting, making her well-positioned to support complex business transactions and regulatory compliance frameworks.
