Peck Loon Cheong is an experienced Project Manager with over 15 years of expertise in engineering, construction, and large-scale industrial project delivery. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia. His core competencies include project planning and execution, construction management, budgeting, contract negotiation, and the use of advanced project management tools such as Primavera P6 and AutoCAD. He is recognised for his ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects while maintaining strong control over timelines, costs, and quality standards.
Currently serving as Project Manager at Msufini (T) Ltd in Tanzania, he leads the execution of a 45 TPD EPCC chloro-alkali plant project. In this role, he is responsible for developing project plans, managing budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing contractors and vendors. He plays a critical role in driving project delivery through effective workflow management, stakeholder coordination, and rigorous monitoring of construction progress and quality. His leadership ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Prior to this, he held senior project roles at Dialog Group Berhad and Eastern Soldar Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, where he contributed to major EPCC projects in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors, including tank terminals, pipelines, ammonia plants, and steam cracker complexes. His early career as a Mechanical Project Engineer further strengthened his technical foundation in design, fabrication, and quality control. Across his career, he has demonstrated strong capabilities in managing large engineering teams, executing complex industrial installations, and delivering high-value infrastructure projects in demanding environments
