Janeth Lambert is a business executive and investor with leadership positions spanning agriculture, manufacturing, trade, and financial services. She sits on the board of Clarkson Insurance as a shareholder and director, holds an ownership stake in Marungu Plantation, and brings hands-on operational expertise drawn from years of working across some of Tanzania’s most dynamic sectors.
In her day-to-day roles, Janeth serves as Executive Director of Marungu Plantation, Senior Financial Risk Manager at JUNACO Tanzania Limited, and a member of the Advisory Board Secretariat at Msufini Tanzania. Her career spans continents and industries — from credit risk analysis at BankWest under the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, one of the country’s largest financial institutions, to commodity trading across East African markets.
Trained in Actuarial Science at Curtin University in Perth and Managerial Finance at the London School of Economics, Janeth has built a career grounded in understanding what it takes for businesses to succeed in Africa’s complex and fast-evolving commercial landscape — navigating regulatory environments, capital constraints, market volatility, and the structural challenges that define doing business across the continent. At JUNACO, she focuses on financial risk mapping and mitigation planning — identifying current and emerging risks, stress-testing the business against future scenarios, and ensuring the organisation is structured to seize opportunities as they arise rather than react to challenges after the fact.
At Msufini, Janeth brings the perspective of a finance professional who has operated across manufacturing, trade, and large-scale agriculture. She understands how value is created and where risk concentrates across the production and supply chain, and applies that knowledge in her Advisory Board Secretariat role — where her responsibility for finance and operational readiness ensures the business is financially sound, investment-ready, and built on the strong foundations needed to grow with confidence.
